Shooting for the new surf film “Picaresque.” Somehow I was the only Australian, nothing new, but it wasn’t just that, the rest of the crew was all American ahhh haha. I love US sliders but 6 at once in an already Americanized country did get a little intense.

We had ok waves for the quik pro, the finals looked really fun and chunky! Would have love to be out there on that last day… felt really good going in to the event, I had spent the beginning of the year mostly at home with my family, surfing a lot and training towards the event.

I was really stoked when I heard that Rhythm had confirmed support for the Kirra teams challenge, cause it's a great gathering of surfers from all over the country and carries a lot of history. Coming from Kirra Board-riders I surfed in this event a bunch of times and always had a great time.
